Specialty Veterinarians
A veterinary specialist is a veterinarian who has completed additional training in their area of expertise. The average length of a veterinary residency is 3-years in addition to the four years of Veterinary School following a bachelor's degree. Once they complete their residency they must complete a one year internship and an exhausting examination to earn their board certification.
We were the first hospital in the central valley to bring a variety of specialists to serve our client's pet's at our hospital. Previously one would drive to Sacramento, Davis, the Bay Area or southern California to obtain such services.
The specialists that regularly see patients at our hospital are:
- Cardiologists - Dr. Lori Siemens DACVIM, and Dr. Katie Meier DACVIM
- Dentist - Dr. Patricia Frost DAVDC
- Surgeons - Dr. Peter Walsh DACVS, Dr. Bernard Seguin DACVS, Dr. J.T. Vida DACVS and Dr. Matt Stepnik
If you would like to know more about our our specialists, their biographies can be found in the About Us section, Meet Our Team.
